These Walls Tell Stories - Luton’s Hat District
Limited Edition Signed A2 exhibition prints produced as part of my 5-year documenting project for The Culture Trust, Luton.
The Hat District project, saw the restoration, transformation and rejuvenation of a number of former hat factories, the cornerstone of Luton’s industrial hat-making heritage.
This process of change exposed and highlighted the textures, shapes and patterns in the various building’s walls, ceilings and floors - the industry of architecture and form which housed and bore witness to the work within.
Some elements were retained as part of the design and others allowed only fleeting exposure before being repackaged for another life of sheltering and supporting ideas and products.
Exhibition “These Walls Tell Stories” took place at The Storefront Gallery in 2018.
Prints are for personal use only, for display in the home or other private spaces. For all other purposes, such as display in public spaces or institutions, publishing the image online or in print, or any other form of usage, prior permission and licence is required.
