Frequently Asked Questions (FAQβs) - ArtAutoArt - Limited Edition Panels
What is the process behind ArtAutoArt?
ArtAutoArt is my original photography that, even with some artistic post-production in colour and pattern, remain 100% faithful to the original car with no Photoshop compositing.
Where can I display the artwork?
Artworks are for personal use only, for display in your home or other private spaces. For all other purposes, such as display in commercial offices, public spaces or institutions, publishing the image online or in print, or any other form of usage, please arrange prior permission with Shaun Armstrong.
How do you hang the artwork?
Your artwork can be mounted with ease on the pre-attached rectangular aluminium frame which is mounted on the reverse. The artwork then sits c2cm away from the wall with no visible hanging fixtures.
The type of wall attachment will depend on your chosen hanging location, but suggest 2No screws/plugs (appropriate to fixing surface) about 20cm apart from which the artwork rail can hang.
What print quality can I expect?
ArtAutoArt artwork is manufactured by international award-winning printers using quality materials tried and tested for this type of application.
The Dibond panel (3mm aluminium composite substrate) has a white coating and the artwork is printed using a modern, 7-colour technique using top-grade UV Fine Art inks. Colours are highly saturated with good tonal graduation, even in large monochrome sections. Artwork is matte and glare-free, but the whites and bright areas have a faint, silky gloss.
Items are checked fully by me prior to personal signing and onward despatch and images taken of each product for quality-control purposes so nothing is sent that I am not 100% happy with.
Remember, whilst your artwork will be stunning, images may present different colour saturations, hues and brightness on computer screens to the physical product. Hanging location and lighting in your chosen space may also have an effect on what you see and is not considered a defect.
How long does it take to arrive?
Your order will be started 14 days after the date of request to allow you to enjoy the statutory cooling-off period protections unless you request to waive this right.
As a bespoke piece, it will then take 14 days to be produced, checked by me and sent onwards to you by courier.
What is your returns policy?
I want you to be delighted with your ArtAutoArt but as it is a limited-edition custom product made to order, no cash refunds are available but a replacement piece will be supplied if it is defective or damaged and duly returned to me first.
Your artwork comes to me before despatch to you so I will be 100% certain all is correct at this point and take photos. Any damage therefore will only be due to transit outside of my control.
If the artwork/package arrives damaged in transit please reject it with the courier on this basis. If it is left without a personal signature (due to pandemic restrictions or otherwise) please first take photos of the packaging unopened and then of any damage to the artwork inside.
Please then get in touch to discuss the return and replacement process.
How many prints are produced?
The number of available prints is limited to that stated next to the artwork at the designated size. If no number is stated, the item is an open edition. All limited-edition artwork is hand-signed by me and numbered.
Can I choose a different size or printing method?
Any ArtAutoArt image can be produced in any bespoke size and alternative printing options are possible. These custom images are priced on application and do not form part of the limited-editions which are set colours and sizes etc. which will not be repeated. Please contact me for other media options, costs or to discuss unique installation ideas.
Can I have my own car photographed and artwork created in your ArtAutoArt style?
Yes. My bespoke commissioning service would see me visit your vehicle(s) and take a variety of abstract images based on the creative opportunities I see, and/or anything specific youβd like me to consider.
A range of draft digital artwork would be produced for your consideration and final pieces (minimum one 90 x 60 Dibond panel or equivalent) would then be manufactured at your chosen size and method.
Any images progressed to final pieces for you would be one-off single exclusive editions.
There may also be the opportunity to collaborate on sale of other images/artwork created from your vehicle, on a profit-share basis, agreed with you in advance.
Priced on application, based on your location, requirements and desired sizes/methods of manufacture and installation.
Any questions or queries about ArtAutoArt or for commission/collaboration or artwork licensing ideas please contact me.
